Case-method learning has taken a great step forward thanks to the generosity of two Ivey alumni.
Dr. Henry K.S. Cheng, HBA ’71, MBA ’72, LLD ’97, and Dr. Simon Tin-Yin Cua, EMBA ’05, LLD ’15, have made contributions to establish Ivey’s case centre in Asia at the Cheng Yu Tung Management Institute. The generosity of the two donors was recognized at a special opening ceremony on May 30, 2016, featuring Dean Bob Kennedy, Dr. Cheng, Dr. Cua and Chris Chan, Associate Dean, Asia.
The gift enables Ivey to maintain its leadership position in Asian business education through the creation of new Asian cases and research initiatives. This new case centre in Hong Kong is expected to be in operation from the second half of 2016.
Ivey is strongly committed to continuing its growth and presence in the region, and it is through the generosity of our alumni, like Drs. Cheng and Cua, that Ivey is able to blaze a trail for the next generation of leaders.
